Did you know that if you are thirsty, you are already dehydrated?

Keeping our bodies hydrated is important for many bodily functions including maintaining body temperature, digestion and keeping all other tissues, including our muscles, performing optimally!

Symptoms of dehydration include nausea, light-headedness, fatigue, muscle cramps and low energy, just to name a few!

Ideally, your daily water intake should be at least half of your body weight in ounces

FOR EXAMPLE:

140lbs = 70 oz of water per day

Add 8 oz (1 cup) of additional water for every 30min of moderate-high physical activity

Electrolytes are essential minerals like sodium, calcium and potassium, which are lost through sweat.

These minerals assist in optimal muscle contraction and fluid transfer within the body. If you are performing high-intensity exercise, long-duration exercise, or exercising in high temperatures, you may benefit from an electrolyte supplement.

They come in powders, tablets or gummies. A personal favourite of ours is linked here.
