Slope Season Is Here!
Okanagan is known for its beaches in the summer and its slopes in the winter. We don’t know about you, but we have already started counting down the days until slope season back in August!
Hitting that fresh powder on a bluebird day – nothing beats that feeling!
Having to sit out a weekend due to a spill, injury, or pain – now that is something we all want to avoid this ski/board season.
If you are an avid powder hunter as we are, here are some things to consider during the winter season to keep you fresh and ready for when the snow hits:
Dealing with Injuries.
Accidents, falls, and collisions are no stranger to skiers and boarders. Sprains and strains of the neck, back, knees, shoulders are very common.
Let Dr. Col assess your area of concern and get you back to shredding some serious pow!
Chiropractic care consists of soft tissue therapy, joint mobilization and rehabilitation exercises - the perfect recipe to get optimal, pain-free movement.
Preventing Injuries
With consistent treatments and exercise recommendations, our rehabilitation providers can keep you strong and prime for hitting faster speeds, more air, or be able to last all day on the hill without anything hurting.
Schedule your visit today for a pre-season check-up and decrease that risk of injury during the season!
Dealing with sore muscles
Getting a nice massage after a weekend on the slopes will not only feel amazing but also help your muscles get back to performance ready to do it all again next weekend.
Massage therapy helps promote blood flow and circulation, reduces muscle tension, and promotes mobility of the musculoskeletal system.
Tune that Equipment!
Now that you are taking care of your body, don’t forget about that equipment! Faulty equipment can lead to injuries. Making sure you along with your skis or board are in tip-top shape is important for the season!
Here at Move RX we can help you stay lose, limber and ready to strap on those sticks every day of ski season.
